Recently, fraudsters have used phishing emails or QR codes to trick customers into entering their personal and electronic trading account login information on fake websites.
These fake emails, QR codes and hyperlinks to counterfeit websites may appear in different combinations, or even in domain names that resemble the genuine websites of the relevant organizations (e.g. replaced by similar English letters, numbers or symbols), in an attempt to mislead customers and steal their personal and login information. Once the fraudsters successfully obtain the customer's login information, they will immediately use this information to log into the account and perform illegal transactions. Because customers will also receive login information after entering their login information on the fake website, they may not immediately realize that there is something wrong.
YSHK would like to remind customers to be vigilant and guard against fraud:
1. Please keep your personal information and electronic trading account information (including login password, SMS one-time password and 2FA OTP) safe and do not disclose sensitive personal information to anyone.
2. When logging in/transacting, users should directly enter YSHK's website https://www.yuanta.com.hk in the browser, or download the application from the official application store or YSHK's official website.
3.Do not open emails, text messages, attachments or hyperlinks from unknown sources or download suspicious applications. Please verify the sender information of the email. All emails from Yuanta Securities (Hong Kong) Company Limited are sent from @yuanta.com. If in doubt, stop the operation immediately, do not enter any information, and close the window. Manually enter our company website https://www.yuanta.com.hk and then log in.
4. Customers should pay attention to the login/transaction notifications issued by YSHK if they find any abnormal login/transaction information. Please change your login password as soon as possible and then contact us.
5. If you have provided information to a suspected fraudulent website, please contact your Account Manager or call our Customer Service Hotline at (852) 3555 7878 for immediate assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Yuanta Securities (Hong Kong) Company Limited
